You practice, play, study, create, share. And yet you keep having this feeling that there’s
something more, that something is missing…
Perhaps what is missing is a different kind of practice; spiritual practice.
This is an invitation into a time of respite - a mini retreat; an invitation info being
consciously and more deeply in connection with self, harp, music and spirit.
Envision This
Transform your playing, practicing, creating, performing into a practice that deepens your
connection with self, harp, music and with Divine Mystery. How beautiful and heart-and-soul
nourishing this would be!
The Grace of Gratitude
This virtual mini-retreat is centered on the grace of gratitude. We’ll unfold and savor
what gratitude can look, feel, sound like; what it can be as an essential, enriching
facet of our harp journey, interwoven with our life’s spiritual journey.
Like any spiritual practice, it is indeed a journey. And any worthy spiritual journey
invites spiritual growth, opening us more deeply to our gifts, our talents and our connection
with the sacred.
Retreat vs. Workshop
This virtual gathering is a spiritual retreat, is not a technique or repertoire workshop.
We will explore creativity, music and spirituality with our harps and our music but
please note that this is
not a “do, do, doing” workshop disguised as a retreat.
There will be blessing, prayer, pondering, delight, music and connection.
This is an invitation into a time of respite; being consciously and more deeply in connection with self, harp, music and spirit.
On A Personal Note: I’ve fallen
absolutely in love with harp as
spiritual practice. I don’t know just when I started falling, but it’s been going on for
quite some time, unfolding organically in my life. It has opened me to playing, practicing,
creating and performing in different and wondrous ways. ~ Martha
Who This Retreat Is For
This retreat is for lever and pedal harp players; most suitable for intermediate beginner
to adv. level experience.
Good To Know
The elements of spiritual practices that we’ll explore are not from any one religion,
but rather are central in belief systems, religions, and spiritually-centered explorations
across the globe, spanning centuries.
This is not about “religious” music, nor any specific music at all or at any specific
experience level. Rather, this is all about how we “be” in and on our journey of playing
the harp as an essential element of our life’s spiritual journey.
