This title song is about a diverse and still fairly wild (given its location and the state of the world at this point in time) area of the world. It is where I call home. This song appears on my recording ‘Tween Heaven and Earth, but it was an obvious choice for this recording also.
Natives have traveled through, hunted, and lived here for generations upon generations. European settlers used it as a source of furs for trading, a source of resources for industry and water supply for downstate, a wilderness retreat for the rich, and now a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. I spend a lot of time wandering here, finding my way back to what my role as a human is in relation to the Earth; one living thing intertwined with many.
